Feeding Giraffes in Kenya โ€“ An Unforgettable Experience ๐Ÿฆ’

Some experiences make you smile long after they’re over, and feeding giraffes in Kenya is definitely one of them.

After returning from our safari, we spent four more days at our beach hotel enjoying the sunshine and taking part in a few excursions. One of those excursions turned out to be one of my favourite memories from the entire holiday.

I’d always wanted to see giraffes up close, but nothing prepared me for just how close we would get. Standing there with food in my hand, I watched these beautiful animals slowly approach.

They were gentle, curious, and surprisingly friendly. What shocked me most was their tongues!I had no idea they were so long. When the giraffe reached out for the food, its tongue wrapped right around my hand to grab the treat. It was such a strange feeling and definitely not something I’ll ever forget.

At first I laughed in surprise, but after a few feeds I couldn’t stop smiling.Being able to look a giraffe in the eye and interact with it so closely was a truly special experience.

Photos can never quite capture what it’s like standing beside one of these incredible animals.Looking back, feeding the giraffes wasn’t just about ticking something off a bucket list.

It was one of those moments that reminds you how amazing our world is and how lucky we are to experience it.It’s an experience I would recommend to anyone visiting Kenya.
