In September 2023, we ticked off another one of the most iconic bucket list experiences: hot air ballooning over the magical landscape of Pamukkale, Turkey.

And wow — it was absolutely worth the 2am wake-up call.

There were around 20 of us in the balloon, and the excitement was palpable as we were taken to the launch site in the dark.

Watching the balloons inflate in the pre-dawn stillness was magical in itself — but once we were up in the sky, floating gently above valleys and fairy chimneys as the sun rose in glowing golds and pinks, it felt like we were in a dream.

The silence, the views, the sheer surreal beauty of it all… it’s impossible to put into words.

Just breath taking.

And the experience didn’t end in the sky, .. after we landed smoothly, we were greeted with a little sparkling wine celebration, which added such a lovely touch

It was the perfect way to mark such a special moment.

If you’re considering doing this: go for it. It’s early, yes.

But it’s also pure magic, and a memory we’ll treasure forever.
