☁️ The rain is pitter-pattering on the static roof, and I’m tucked up in bed with The Cosy Croissant Café and a mug of something warm.
Pure bliss.
🌸 Book Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4.5/5)
📚✨ A heartwarming escape with croissants, second chances & a horse called Pumpkin
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From the very first chapter, The Cosy Croissant Café wraps you in a warm hug of community, comfort, and slow-living charm.
Set against the idyllic backdrop of Boathouse Cottage, this story is the perfect blend of feel-good fiction, emotional depth, and just enough sparkle to make you dream of fresh starts by the water’s edge.
Betsy, our relatable and quietly courageous heroine, is at a crossroads in life — and watching her rediscover her spark is a joy.
I loved her creativity, vulnerability, and how she navigates old wounds with grace (and a bit of sass).
And then there’s Miles… complicated, kind, and the kind of character you root for even when you want to shake him.
And yes, Pumpkin the horse completely stole my heart.
His presence adds such a whimsical, grounding charm to the story — proof that sometimes the quietest characters speak the loudest.
Jane Linfoot’s writing has that comforting, cinematic quality — you can almost smell the coffee, feel the frosty air, and hear the gentle lapping of the lake by the cottage.
The community feel, the slow pace, and the unfolding romance make this book a truly cosy companion for rainy afternoons, deck-chair days, or fireside evenings.
🍂 Best enjoyed with a buttery croissant, a hot drink, and your fluffiest socks. Bonus points if there’s a horse nearby.
📚 Perfect for fans of:
Heidi Swain, Jenny Colgan, cozy coastal fiction, and anyone who believes in healing over hot chocolate and fresh-baked pastries.
